Conference Planning & Management
Jody Larson has been planning events for Iowa State University since 2002. As one of our veteran Event Managers, her job is to think about, plan for and execute every last event detail, all while keeping within budget and planning timeline. Piece of cake, right? Prior to joining Conference Planning and Management, Jody worked for a national farm tradeshow company. That experience coupled with her personal work in agriculture makes Jody an invaluable asset to the success of events like the biannual Farm Progress Show drawing upwards of 100,000 to the Central Iowa Expo just west of Ames.
When not managing event logistics, Jody is an on-the-run mother of three and supporting spouse of a never-a-moment’s-rest row crop and livestock farmer. In her spare time, Jody likes to be with family and friends, volunteer in her community, garden, snowmobile, play badminton and watch Cyclone Basketball.
Favorite Ames memory: Being part of the planning team when Ames hosted Special Olympics National Games in 2006!
