The Ames Convention & Visitors Bureau (Ames CVB) welcomes Sydney Hogle to their staff as their Event & Service Coordinator. Hogle will assist in coordinating and administering support functions and services for events, groups and individual visitors.
Hogle, originally from northeast Iowa, graduated from Iowa State University in May of 2020 with a degree in Event Management. During her time at Iowa State, Hogle was involved in various organizations on campus and served on the Event Management Club executive board, while also holding internships within the wedding industry.
“We’re excited to have Sydney join the Ames CVB team,” said Kevin Bourke, President/CEO, Ames Convention & Visitors Bureau. “With her passion for the Ames community and Iowa State University, Sydney is the perfect fit and will be a great asset to the team.”
The local travel industry annually welcomes thousands of overnight visitors and single-day visitors each year. These visitors annually account for $75 million dollars* in direct spending in our community, through overnight accommodations, retail spending, dining, entertainment and travel expenditures. *Source: Iowa Economic Development Authority and STR Destination Report, 2020
