Brazilian ensemble Paulo Padilha e Bando will visit Stephens Auditorium and groups in Ames and Gilbert for a concert and residency from May 5-7, 2022 as part of Arts Midwest World Fest, a partnership between Arts Midwest and Stephens Auditorium, managed by VenuWorks. World Fest offers Midwestern communities, especially smaller and mid-size communities, an opportunity to experience music, language, and culture from across the world.
The public concert is scheduled for Thursday, May 5 at 7 p.m. at Stephens Auditorium. The performance will also include a song with Lyrica, an Iowa State University student treble-voice ensemble with a mission to explore musical sounds and practices from many traditions.
Tickets for the public performance at Stephens are $10 adults; $5 students and free admission for ISU students. Due to parking lot construction around Stephens Auditorium, tickets can be purchased at the SE or SW Tower doors on May 5 or purchased in advance through this link: https://www.center.iastate.edu/paulo-padilha-e-bando/
