ISU Homecoming Parade

Come join the ISU 2021 Homecoming celebration on Main Street in downtown Ames. Included in the parade will be the Cardinal Court, Iowa State representatives and dignitaries, student organizations, and many local businesses and organizations from the Ames area. This year’s parade grand marshal is James Oliver. Oliver is a University Professor, Director of the Student Innovation Center, and the Larry and Pam Pithan Professor of Mechanical Engineering.

The parade will begin at 2 p.m. from the staging area at Ames City Hall’s parking lot and will move east on 5th St., south on Douglas, and west on Main before concluding on Northwestern Avenue. Several downtown streets will be closed for the parade.

Food trucks will be parked along Clark, Burnett, and Kellogg Avenues.

The 2021 Homecoming theme is “Cy of the Storm.”
