Wren Bouwman

Destination Ames

As our Member and Visitor Services Coordinator, Wren Bouwman makes sure our CYtes members and visitors to Ames are well-cared for by arranging airport shuttles, providing welcome bags and member support, and generally being a master of all things Ames. She’ll be the first to tell you there’s always something to do in Ames, and wherever she is she’ll see someone she knows. “In Ames, it feels easy to be a part of the community and see the difference you’re making.” In fact, what she most enjoys about her job is being a part of a community that is so welcoming, and her goal is to make sure everyone else feels that Ames is one of the most amazing places to visit and live.

Joining the CYtes Team after graduating from ISU in May 2019, Wren enjoys lauding her Cyclone status to her mostly non-Cyclone family. She enjoys reading, hosting board games nights, Dungeons and Dragons, and playing fetch with her cats. She’s been known to dabble in theater and get maybe too physically involved in virtual games … to the point of denting a real wall while chasing a virtual balloon.

Claim to Fame: I can read about 900 words a minute (which means that in the time it took most of us to read her bio, she’s finished War & Peace)
