Porter Union in Concert on September 29 at Ames City Auditorium

Up-and-coming county music duo Porter Union will play a concert on Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Ames City Auditorium, 515 Clark Ave. Local country artist Robert Deitch will open the show at 7:30 p.m., and Porter Union will play following his set. Tickets are $17 in advance and are available at the Community Center Gym (at Fifth Street entrance). Tickets at the door are $22.

Porter Union is the husband-and-wife team of Cole Michael Porter and Kendra Porter. The couple met at a music venue in their hometown in Springfield, Mo., fell in love, and began touring together. Their unique blend of voices, coupled with emotional songwriting and a traditional country music sound, has been well received by audiences nationwide.
