Octagon Art Festival: Call for Artists

Applications due for Octagon Art Festival

Deadline for applications is June 30

The Octagon Center for the Arts is looking for artists to display their work at their 48th annual Octagon Art Festival. This fine art festival is a great way to connect with other artists and midwestern art lovers! The Octagon Art Festival hosts 100 professional artists from throughout the midwest who produce high-quality artwork in a wide variety of media. Annually more than 14,000 people attend this festival.

The festival will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 10am to 4pm. Artists will be given a booth outdoors in the Main Street Cultural District of downtown Ames. This is a rain or shine event.

The Octagon Art Festival application for artists can be found here. This application includes four photos of the artwork and a photo of the booth setup. The deadline to apply is June 30. There will be four cash purchase awards given at the end of the festival. One best of show and three honorable mentions will be presented to the winning artists. We look forward to hearing from you!
