/ July 3, 2018
9:30 pm – 10:00 pm / Iowa State University parking lot G7, Ames
The highly anticipated Independence Day Fireworks display will begin at dusk on Tuesday, July 3. The Ames Convention & Visitors Bureau CYtes of Ames Community Grant Program, in partnership with Young Professionals of Ames, the City of Ames and Iowa State University, look forward to presenting the 2018 Ames Independence Day Fireworks.
Ames Independence Day Fireworks offers safe, free, family-friendly entertainment to celebrate the Independence Day holiday and further highlights the unique “town and gown” relationship between Ames and Iowa State University. The fireworks will be launched from Iowa State University parking lot G7. The parking lots surrounding Jack Trice Stadium and Iowa State Center will be available beginning at 8:00 p.m. for fireworks viewing.
To ensure safety for all, the following items are not allowed in the parking lots: personal fireworks, sparklers, bottle rockets, firecrackers and no open flame. In case of rainy weather, the fireworks display will be moved to July 5. Ames Convention & Visitors Bureau CYtes of Ames Community Grant funds are used to secure the services of J&M Displays to provide a safe and complimentary fireworks display.
