The 31st annual Iowa Games Summer Sports Festival will be held in Ames and the surrounding areas on July 8-9, July 14-16 and July 21-23, 2017. This year, the Iowa Games will consist of more than 60 different sporting events, including team and individual competitions for amateur athletes of all ages.
Hundreds of dedicated volunteers are needed to make the 2017 Iowa Games a success. Groups or individual volunteers are encouraged to apply. Volunteers are encouraged to sign up on one of the three weekends, but the greatest need for assistance is the weekend of July 14-16. Youth soccer registration, basketball shooting, basketball 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 scorekeeping, and track and field are just some of the events you can volunteer for and have a front row seat to all the sporting action!
Volunteer applications are available online at www.ThinkAmes.com, or can be picked up at the Ames Convention & Visitors Bureau office located at 1601 Golden Aspen Drive, Suite 110, Ames, Iowa. Completed volunteer applications are due by July 3, 2017. Each volunteer will receive a free Iowa Games volunteer t-shirt.
As we prepare for another great year, the Iowa Games would like to thank all the volunteers who have helped make the previous Summer Games so successful.
