Call for Presenters: Business of Art Conference

The Octagon Center for the Arts and the Ames Community Arts Council are proud to present the inaugural Business of Art Conference. Conference organizers are seeking art professionals, teachers, and entrepreneurs to speak about the different aspects of the art business. The Conference will take place at the Octagon on Friday, March 1 and Saturday, March 2, of 2019.

Those interested in being considered as a presenter for the conference should complete the application located on the Octagon event webpage. Sessions will typically be 45-60 minutes in length and presentations should be both informative and interactive to appeal to visual artists at all levels. All applications for presenters are due by Thursday, November 1.

In addition to the professional development sessions, there will also be networking opportunities throughout the day, giving participants the chance to talk one-on-one with our speakers, other professionals, and each other.

The Business of Art Conference is made possible in part through the support of the Ames Commission on the Arts [COTA]. We are excited to watch this conference develop, and we hope you might consider being a part of this event.
