We’re looking for another team member to help us say “Be our guest!” to visitors and residents of Ames (candelabras need not apply!). As part of the Destination Ames Member & Visitor Services team, this Coordinator position would be a prominent forward-facing staff member responsible for front office operations, assisting with member relations and providing guest services. Sports & Leisure Services Coordinator: We need a multi-tasking MVP-type who can fluctuate between the fast-paced sprints of event coordination and the meticulous marathon of sales administration, all while serving up excellent customer service. It takes enthusiasm and high energy to make visitors feel relaxed and welcome. If that makes sense to you, and you have the necessary skillsets, we could have a place for you! The Sports & Leisure Services Coordinator reports to the Director of Sports and Leisure. The primary function of the position is to coordinate and administer support services needed for sales initiatives and events through the Sports and Leisure market department of the Ames Convention and Visitors Bureau. The position will communicate and coordinate needs including logistics, registration, delivery, marketing, and volunteer management.
